Hello people.

This time a short tutorial on a subject that is called Biped.
For a short introduction, Biped is a bone-system in 3dsmax. it lets you do quick rigging and animation.
Most of the people who do very hard animation would create bones them selfs, or use another plugin such as CAT.but when you want quick ans imple then Biped is a nice system you can use.

In this tutorials i’ll show you one basic thing you may want to know when using biped in max.
For example when you want the character to open a door. you want the bipeds hand to hold the door-handle.
This i’m going to show you how to do this in this tutorials

Now to begin load up 3dsmax and create a Biped and a cylinder that will represent the doorhandle.

Next click on the white arrow and select the
cylinder object. You will see the nade of the object (Cylinder01) in the box next to white arrow.
Now a couple of options became available. Set the IB Blend to 1.0 and select Object instead of Body.

Nowww try and move the cylinder up….. you will see the bipid’s hand is locked to the Cylinder.
Hope this helps you a bit.
